GSCRL: Mayhem at the Mall

Welcome to Mayhem at the Mall, At the Bridgewater Commons shopping mall in Bridgewater Township, New Jersey, on Saturday, May 17th, 2025.

THIS EVENT IS SANCTIONED BY GSCRL AND WILL COUNT TOWARD GSCRL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Hosted by 856 Combat Robotics, the Garden State Combat Robot League (GSCRL), and FRC 56 ROBBIE this epic event brings together the fiercest tiny titans in robot combat: Staged right in the heart of the mall this one-day spectacle promises thrilling 2-minute-30-second matches. Whether you’re a builder, a volunteer, or just here for the chaos, join us for a day of robotic mayhem!

Bridgewater Commons shopping mall located in Bridgewater Township, New Jersey.

• Full Combat Fairies (150g)
• Plastic Ants ("PLANTS" 1lb/454g)

Fees:

• $30 per robot PLAnts and Fairies ($32 by Credit Card.)  All event registrations are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organizer.

Arena: 

• 8’ x 8’ x 2’ tall with an OSB Plywood Floor.

Rules:

• This event will be using a modified version of SPARC rules.  See the build guidelines for compliance. 
• All Matches are 2m30s 

Schedule:

Please note that this event will operate on a condensed schedule. Competition starts promptly at 11:00 AM and we plan on ending by 3:00 PM. Due to time constraints, we’ll enforce a the minimum 20-minute break between fights (in later rounds). If you’re not ready to compete within 20 minutes of your scheduled match, you may forfeit that round. Prepare accordingly to keep the event on track.

• 9:00am - Check-in/Safety registration begins
• 9:45am - Safety Closes/Drivers’ Meeting
• Brunch/Lunch Break - Please note there will not be a later lunch break, please plan accordingly.
• 11:00am - Competition begins
• 1:00pm - Arena Open Time begins  (between scheduled matches)
• 3:30pm - Finals/Awards Ceremony
• 3:30 - 5:00pm - Pack up, load trucks/trailer, all out
