Additional Rules:
- All batteries MUST be charged in a fireproof bag or container. Participants who break this rule will be asked to leave.
- Beetleweight weapons will be limited to 250mph tip speed in order to minimize arena damage. The Event Organizer will reach out to each Beetle participant (where applicable) prior to the event. Tip speed will be calculated theorhetically using the following: Weapon Radius, Pulley Ratio (if applicable), Motor kv Rating, and LiPo Cell Count. (LiPo: 4.2V/cell. LiHv: 4.35V/cell, unless charged to 4.2V).
- Each robot must be able to fit in a 1ft cube (in any orientation). This is done to ensure that if a bot is on fire it can fit in the sand bucket. Flexible parts that can easily be manipulated to fit are allowed
- Magnets for dowforce are allowed (except for Plastic Antweight). The robot cannot have enough magnetic force to hang upside down from a steel plate
- Throughout the tournament, bots may be weighed before a fight to ensure fair play
- Each bot is guarunteed 20 min of repair time between fights. Bots who need more repair time will be given an additional 20 minutes, but will forfeit the next match should it end with a judge's decision. (Limit once per bot)
Safety Inspections:
- Each robot willl be weighed (For modular robots, weigh in with your heaviest configuration)
- Each robot will be inspected to ensure it follows SPARC build guidelines
- The robot will be placed in the arena to demonstrate safe Load In & Load Out procedure, and failsafes for weapon and drive systems
Arena Details:
- Arena is 8 x 8 x 4ft in size
- Floor material is steel
We ask that every participant include a photo of their robot in the robot's profile. No mysterious competitors!
